540m2 of Floor Space
Our factory is located at 2/8 Supply Court, Arundel, QLD, Australia. We currently have 540m2 of floor space, upstairs office so we can keep an eye on production, dedicated hardware room & sample room. Within the next 1-2 years Precise Precut will require 1200m2 + floor space to cope with our growing turnover.
Below is some photos & information on our machines & factory so please have a read.
Machine
ANDERSON CNC WITH 3600 X 1200 & 2400 X 1200 BEDS
This machine cuts & drills approximately 120 sheets of board per day. We have this machine running 10 hours per day, 12 months of the year and when really busy into a second shift. We ordered this machine off the Woodtech Group in 2010 and had it specially made to include twin bed table of 3600×1200 & 2400×1200. There is also a custom tool holder between the two beds that hold up to an extra 14 tools for the profiled doors that we manufacture.
Machine
ANDERSON CNC 2400 X 1200 BED WITH AUTOMATIC PUSH OFF
This machine cuts & drills approximately 70 sheets of board per day. We also have this machine running 10 hours per day, 12 months of the year and when really busy into a second shift. This was the first machine we bought back in 2006 from the Woodtech Group. Now over 5 years old and still running as good as the first day we bought it.
Machine
OTT SHARK EDGEBANDER WITH RETURN SYSTEM
This machine replaced the Hebrock edgebander we first bought it back in 2006. The OTT Shark edgebander was also purchased from the Woodtech Group in 2009. With our increased work load we needed a higher capacity edgebander and decided this was the best machine. It can run as quick as 22 m/m!! This is generally too fast for us, so we run it at 20 m/m so the operator can keep up with it. The return table was purchased with the edgebander and has saved us having to employ an extra staff member at the other end of the machine to return them to the in feed position.
Machine
BLUM MACHINE
We bought the Blum boring machine in 2006 when we first started. We use this to bore all our doors. The reasoning for boring our doors this way instead of using the CNC was to have the choice of what side of the door we are going to bore. We want the bow of the door to be the right way & obviously the front of the door is to be the best side of the material.
Machine
MICRONAIR DUST EXTRACTION UNIT
This dust extraction unit from Micronair was purchased in 2009 to cope with the increased amount of dust in our factory. The VC16 Vibra-clean dust extractor has 2 x 15kw high pressure fans, silencers post-fan & air clamping kit over the bin. We found improved factory tidiness, cleaner air, reduced noise inside the factory, longer tool life on our CNC’s & also the time saved empting multiple dust bags off each machine previously.
